Treadmill Assisted Gait Spoofing (TAGS)

چکیده

In this work, we examine the impact of Treadmill Assisted Gait Spoofing (TAGS) on Wearable Sensor-based Authentication (WSGait). We consider more realistic implementation and deployment scenarios than previous study, which focused only accelerometer sensor a fixed set features. Specifically, situations in WSGait could be using one or sensors embedded into modern smartphones. Besides, it different sets features classification algorithms, both. Despite use variety sensors, feature (ranked by mutual information), six TAGS was able to increase average False Accept Rate (FAR) from 4% 26%. Such considerable FAR, especially under stringent considered calls for further investigation design evaluations before its public use.

Improving Gait Biometrics under Spoofing Attacks

Gait is a relatively new biometric modality which has a precious advantage over other modalities, such as iris and voice, in that it can be easily captured from a distance. While it has recently become a topic of great interest in biometric research, there has been little investigation into gait spoofing attacks where a person tries to imitate the clothing or walking style of someone else. We r...

Random-Training-Assisted Pilot Spoofing Detection and Secure Transmission

The pilot spoofing attack is considered as an active eavesdropping activity launched by an adversary during the reverse channel training phase. By transmitting the same pilot signal as the legitimate user, the pilot spoofing attack is able to degrade the quality of legitimate transmission and, more severely, facilitate eavesdropping. In an effort to detect the pilot spoofing attack and minimize...

An Open-Structure Treadmill Gait Trainer: From Research to Application

Lower limb rehabilitation robots are designed to enhance gait function in individuals with motor impairments. Although numerous rehabilitation robots have been developed, only few of these robots have been used in practical health care, particularly in China. The objective of this study is to construct a lower limb rehabilitation robot and bridge the gap between research and application. Open s...

Gait dynamics when wearing a treadmill safety harness.

Nonlinear dynamics quantifies gait variability patterns, which can be useful in evaluating functional ability. A commonly used nonlinear technique is detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA). Safety support structures have previously been shown to alter DFA during gait. However, the effect of a nonweight-supporting treadmill harness on DFA during gait has yet to be determined. The purpose of this s...
